| The Priceless Woman Study |
"Going once, going twice.....SOLD to the highest bidder!!!” Those words are often screamed by auctioneers at auctions. But, we would never expect to hear an auctioneer scream those words regarding God’s Priceless Woman. Auctions are a place where the natural "value” of things is routinely established. (1) "Value” is determined by the buyer of a thing based on his personal assessment and expectation of that thing to fulfill a desired need. (2) An item’s "cost” is determined by the investment that was made to bring it to a standard of quality. (3) And, the item’s "price” is determined by the maker of the thing because he knows what it cost to bring it to a standard of quality. (Bishop I. V. Hilliard) Since God made the woman to fulfill His divine purpose, only He has the right to establish her "cost” and her "price." Since God created the man, God also has to right to establish her "value” to the man. She was created to be "meet” (fitting) for the man…..to be his helpmeet…..and to complete him. Without her, man is incomplete. SHE IS PRICELESS. That’s the way God set it up!
Solomon explains in today's verse: As man’s helpmeet, a wife will do her husband good, and not evil, all the days of HER life. To do him good, she shows her love for him, adapts herself to his temperament, speaks good words to him, studies to make him comfortable, and provides for his needs both in sickness and in health. She attends to him with tenderness. She willingly advances his estate and his reputation. Conversely, she never does him evil by being: a burden to him, a distraction to him, an embarrassment to him, a discouragement to him, a trouble to him, or a weight to him. She does him "good” all the days of HER life, not only all the days of HIS life. Her obligation succeeds him even in death. If she survives him, she will still do him good by taking care of his children, his estate, his good name, and all matters that he left behind. It takes a virtuous (strong) woman to do all of these things. But it does not exempt the man from his obligations to her which we will learn later in this study. (Repeat the GEM FOR TODAY throughout the day)
GEM FOR TODAY: Father, You created me to be strong. Only You can establish my cost, price and value. (Men say) I AM A MAN OF VALOR AND I VALUE GOD'S PRICELESS WOMAN!!! (Women say) I choose to be found. I AM GOD'S PRICELESS WOMAN!!! In Jesus' Name, Amen
