There are 85 verses in the Bible that mention rising "early.” It was usually mentioned when there was an important task to be done, or with the anticipation of a new season of events that was about to commence. Many times, it would signify a time of "turning aside” from that which was old toward that which was new. God’s virtuous woman arose early, before the sun came up, because there was a daily task that had to be done. She took it upon herself to prepare breakfast for her household and her servants so they could get ready for day’s work. This was wise and profitable for her to do because her servants would be able to begin their work at day break. They would be able to get a lot of work done before the heat of the day and the setting of the sun. It was her job to make sure everyone was prepared to make the most of each day.
Those who lie in bed until late morning have already wasted 5 or 6 hours of daylight before they awaken. By that time, transactions have already taken place, decisions have already been made, and the best products have already been sold. The virtuous woman finds satisfaction in her diligence and order. "Diligence” is defined as: "a constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind." Like an administrator or supervisor, it was her responsibility to organize her household and her servants for maximum productivity. She was a planner, organizer, administrator, supervisor and facilitator. She gave constant, earnest and persistent effort with the exertion of her mind and body by running her household responsibilities like a business.
You may not have servants, but everyone in the house should have responsibilities. Children can keep their rooms clean and pick up their toys after use. The husband may need help in organizing his duties around the house. And everyone needs to be organized and fed in order to get ready for the day. God's virtuous (strong) woman helps to keep everything and everyone in the house, including herself, running smoothly.....like a well-oiled machine. (Repeat the GEM FOR TODAY throughout the day)
GEM FOR TODAY: This is the day that the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Lord, give me the wisdom, strength and diligence to "arise early” everyday to prepare the way for Your supernatural abundance. (Men say) I AM A MAN OF VALOR AND I VALUE GOD'S PRICELESS WOMAN!!! (Women say) I AM GOD'S PRICELESS WOMAN!!! In Jesus' Name, Amen
